Amenity Kits.
The BRICS amenity kits were made available from the start of 2017, taking over from the previous Armani kits. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...nity-kits.html. Also http://lux-traveller.com/2017/qatar-...menity-kit.htm
Note that there are two versions of the amenity kit - a long-haul one, and a slimmed down one for regional flights. They are available for J/F passengers on regional and long-haul flights. They will usually be offered to you between boarding and take-off.
In Autumn 2017 we have had QR offering some autumnal updates #723 and Press Release to the amenity kits
And in October 17 all BRICS kits turned pink for Breast Cancer Awareness #742
From November 17 the kits are Blue for boys and Yellow for girls (#796) with apparently no difference in the male/female contents (#833)
Pyjamas.
New White Company pyjamas were announced in early 2017. See http://www.qatarairways.com/english_...e_whitecompany.
Up until autumn 2017 the White Company PJs were still a rarity, and appeared to be reserved for F passengers, J passengers in QSuites or A380s. However, as of October 2017 there are increasing reports of White Company PJs turning up in normal J cabins which might mean the Grey unbranded PJs are now on their way out of circulation, although in November there were still plenty of reports of the old grey PJs being handed out (#821). The White Company PJs come with slippers in the package which have been observed (#796) to not be as good quality as the slippers that used to be given out separately
Pyjamas are typically available to J/F passengers on long-haul flights that involve some night time flying. They will usually be offered to you between boarding and take-off.
Slippers.
If you receive the new White Company PJs the slippers are included within the package even when flying in J and hence will now usually be received when the crew gives you your PJs. With the old grey PJs the slippers were separate and reserved for the longest flights; they were usually pre-delivered and stashed in your seat drawer or storage bin.

It is actually - a soft case is better for storage & less bulky - I like the design of the pouch too.
The Nappa Dori Kit was pretty unique, but visually less pleasing. And the pouch was smaller in size.
If you'd like, I have an extra kit - I'd be more than happy to mail it to you.

White Company pjs and slippers?

Apologies for the new thread but it's been a while since I took QR J - is it still policy that day flights are not given pjs and slippers? Will be on QR845 and QR15. Much thanks!

I think max out at Large, but they run quite large (I’m usually swimming in them and I’m 5’10 160lbs). They do absolutely run out on a full flight, so make sure you either get a seat closer to the front of the cabin or ask an FA if they can snag your size before they come around the cabin offering the PJs

This is correct. We were on QR10 (day flight) and was given amenity kit only. On QR 844 (night flight), we were given amenity kit, pj and slippers.

I take L, as an obese 5'9" / 175cm man. On CPH-DOH-SYD-DOH recently, they had L available on two legs but not DOH-SYD. I don't know what order they are given out, but I was very early to board and seated in row 3.

I wear US size 11 shoes (my feet are 10.5-10.6" long) and the slippers (inside the small and medium PJs) fit me without issue. Not sure if the slippers come in different sizes and your large PJs were accidentally given small slippers, or if some batches run small.

Any recent reports on DOH-SEZ? Flight leaves DOH at 02:10, arrives SEZ at 08:45, so overnight, but only 5:30 duration, so not exactly long-haul. Saw a report from last summer that it was treated as short haul (short-haul amenity kit, not PJs, no slippers). It's an A332 in 2-2-2 config.
