Wonder when these will actually be on flights? These aren't the same as the "new" kits shown recently in the main thread on the PJ/Amenity kits tracking thread. Will be flying mid-January so would appreciate anything other than the old Armani kits.

I like having a mini aftershave included in the kit, but I absolutely detest Acqua di Gio so I'm glad to see that go. I will need to be convinced by an olive oil-based hydrating facial mist.

Me too. They look nice, and I would like to find them on next - and so far only one in 2017 - QR flight (end of Feb)

Ooh, I like the burgundy!

I will miss the S perfume - although I do have a small collection of the miniatures amassed now, so should last me a good while before I run out

They do look quite nice but I'd rather have the Armani perfume and aftershave lotion in there.

Didn't they just introduced a new amenity for first class some months ago? Anyone has tried these eco-friendly oil company (mist, balm, lotion) products ?

Pictures of all four amenity kits can be seen in a press release at http://www.qatarairways.com/english_...e_amenity_kits.
ABB also seems to suggest that they will be introduced "... in early 2017, we will introduce an historic and revolutionary Business Class experience that no other airline can offer, and our premium amenity kit redesign featuring some of the worlds leading luxury products is a preview to our refreshed approach. (my bold).
So we are not really any the wiser as to when they will appear on flights.

They upgraded the existing Amenity Kit a few months ago, but this one will be a totally new product.

If I had to guess, I would say it will feature as part of the new J product being launched in Berlin in March 2017.

Ah, bummer!

My 2017 schedule is already full (at least on OW), I'll have to wait 2018 to sample those kits

Not sure how Ausbt had the exclusive, when the info all came from the QR issued press release - see the link from remdk.

BT had the story yesterday morning - my original post.

Based on the pictures on the AustralianBT website the QR kits can, in my opinion, not keep up with the new EK kits.

The EK kits have always been very generous.

I find the products more useful, albeit perhaps not as luxurious. However, a packet of tissues, deodorant can, and shave cream can, save me bringing my own.

As for the 'luxury items', I think they're much of a muchness. Would I ever go and buy the Bulgari products provided to me by EK, no. Would I ever go and buy the Armani items provided by QR, likewise no...but they make good backups when I run out of aftershave balm!
