Comments on flight plan
Esteemed community.....
Hoping that some of you that know about these things can give me some comments on a couple of flight plans I am putting together for February.
First of all, I am due to fly to SYD-HKG-PEK-NRT-SYD. I will then have one night at home before flying SYD-CHC-WLG-AKL-SYD. At the moment, both trips are being costed separately. However, I am wondering if it would make any sense to combine them into one trip being SYD-HKG-PEK-NRT-CHC-WLG-AKL-SYD.
Is there a One World fare that would cover this sort of trip? Would Business Class be cost effective (when compared to a series of individual economy fares)?
All thoughts and comments welcome.

Martyn, not being an expert in these areas, but look at the Oneworld Circle Pacific structure. Specifics are here but I'm not sure whether it will suit as Japan is not mentioned as valid city.
The other Oneworld option is Circle Explorer.
This might also be best cross-posted in Oneworld Forum (christep and others will give you chapter and verse), but I know others here will know more than me.

I don't think a CriclePacific fare is valid for your itinerary becasue you are not crossing the Pacific. There may be value in making it a BIG trip and doing a Round World OneWorld Explorer - I'm sure that you can fit that lot in - just don't get caught by the "2 stopovers in continent of origin" rule. Its cheaper to buy it in SIN or other Asian cities - you just have to get up there and back.
As QF WP said, go to the OneWorld Forum for help on ideas.

i know that my company uses creative ticketing methods and we used to buy one way BA tickets London to Argentina (about 2000) and then one way from Argentina to London (about USD2000) which saved a fortune. So you may want to see if you can split the ticket and purchase part of it in one of the asian cities you are visiting - although this worked well for business class it may not work so well for economy

For Asia your best bet may be the CX Asia Passport
The Asia Passport Fare gives you six flight coupons and allows you to visit up to four cities in Asia from a choice of over 60 destinations in the Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Xiamen Airlines networks. Prices start from just $1899 plus taxes in Economy Class and $5159 plus taxes in Business Class.
For the QF NZ flights for about $400 more than a flexible economy you can go in J for the trans tasman sectors.
