Using QF FF points to upgrade on BA?

No problem SingaporeDon - that's what FT is for.
You cannot get confirmed upgrades 90 days out. 90 days is the maximum number of days out before travel an upgrade can be requested. 24 hours before departure, upgrade requests are no longer accepted and Qantas will determine, if any, which upgrades are awarded and then given based on your Frequent Flyer status. Platinum Members first, then Gold Members, then Silver Members and then Bronze Members.
If your upgrade is awarded you can see this online, by telephone, or you'll find out when you check in.

Note that Australian domestic flight upgrades can be confirmed up to 90 days out if there is U class availability on the flight you want. Waitlisting is not possible for Australian domestic flight upgrades. But you can request an "On Departure Upgrade" for an Australian domestic flight from the service desk inside the Qantas Club.
