It's a *VERY* early start if you're keen on that idea and don't want to stay over in SYD.

The latest flight you could probably catch from BNE leaves at 5:50am due to possible issues with getting D passes in BNE or SYD. The earlier one at 5am would give you plenty of time (~2 hours) in the lounge to sample breakfast.

As for breakfast there - it is very yummy. And champagne or other drinks to match (evil at that hour though!).

I'd recommend fresh juice followed by eggs benedict with sourdough toast and vegemite. Then have the superb coffee.

I take back my negative comments over the last year about the slow construction of the Flounge.

I have just posted this on AFF too but.....

I notice that moa999 and DUF is on QF175 for the AGM. I was thinking I might fly down late Friday night (QF555 is still cheap) and catch QF175 back in the hope of a brekky at the FLounge (providing Aubs or DUF will guest me in?). What does one think of this plan and is anyone else keen on joining in. Mal, you know you want to?? The only thing is it seems a bit early but hey, I'm keen for anything.

Oh dear, I have the bug!

That shouldn't me a problem at all. moa999 will invite littl_flier into the lounge and I will invite you.
26H & K are already taken if you think about seat assignments.
Little footnote: Because of my job I can not say 100% for sure whether I will really make it. Tickets are booked and paid for but I might have to be somewhere on this planet.

Yeah I'm warming to the idea of flying down Fri night and back Sat morn. These flying addictions... At least it's easier to explain away to the check-in person a Fri night down, Sat morn back than it is to explain my recentish SYD-MEL-SYD-BNE Flounge run earlier this year She muttered "This can't be right" and was extremely puzzled. I just grinned and told her it was right!

Hmm, maybe I should just book the flight and figure out how I am getting to SYD later (most likely from MEL, but could be from PER)

There's now someone in one of the seats behind you...

I've confirmed my flight down to SYD night before and QF175 in the morning.

Ok, booked, paid and confirmed. Seat 26A, my window! I did think about paying the extra $50 for an upgradable fare but thats too much effort, and besides, after all the champagne I'll be ready for a snooze anyway.

Looks like quite a crew on QF175. Bring it on.

Which means Lindsay, please add me as Platinum!!!

The crowd just got bigger. Booked, paid and confirmed.

This breakfast better be worth it.

Hi QF WP - thanks for the invite

I am a silver for attendance and a bronze in status

But hey I am a silver (premier elite) with UA!!!! Will that help?? Shame QF is not in *A.

I dont have a pass for QP (I am assuming that is the Qantas Club?). I dont spend much time on the QF boards, so dont know all your abbreviations.

Is the plan to meet and the stay over night or is it just the AGM?

Hi Guys,

I was hoping to get to this one, however as it is my birthday i best drink at home instead of Brisvegas, unless I can persuade my darling wife to take me away for the weekend.....

Downunder girl,

I'm sure one of the oh so generous QF Plat's would escort you into the QP. (Qantas Pub)
