Sorry, I have taken my eye off this thread lately - will update tonight.
Am meeting with the QC BNE Manager tomorrow (hopefully) and will give her update of numbers in a week, then a couple of days before the event. Off to ADL tomorrow (clients then Conference) so won't have a lot of access to internet over next week. |
Quick Q: With no status at all, what are the chances of my changing my seat to something more to the front in Y? I see that (unless the seat map is out-of-date) there may still be spots.
If the answer is yes, how do I go about it? Last time I tried in "change my booking" on QF, I believe I was simply given a seat and not a choice. |

If you are allowed to change, the only more forward seats you 'should' have access to are: 32A,33A,34A (Window) or 35C,35D,35H (Aisle). Still seats free in other rows in front of these, but as mentioned it is a premium seating area, so you're unlikely to get a seat there. You could try requesting: 27K,28A,29A,30A (window) or 27D, 28C,29C,30C,31C (Aisle) and see what happens. |
Maybe a WP could offer to link bookings and call Qantas to get adjacent allocation further forward in the "premium area".
I have done this before (admittedly for NB Mini Serfty). |
Looks like I'll be seated in between the two "flyers" - littl_flier and DownUnderFlyer, in 26B. :)

They most probably thought you are insane, asking for a middle seat when there are so much better seats available.

Seriously though, on a domestic flight I'll take a middle exit row or bulkhead seat over a "regular" aisle/window any day. It's all about the legroom (and not having a reclining pax in front of you). :)

26D/E/F/G are bassinet positions and the Agent may have been reserving them (although 'tis surprising 26F was 'available' if that were the case).

I believe we are 2 WP's short for the QF175 flight. Is there any other WP's who are interested in this flight, or have incorrect status shown in this forum? (Ie not one of the below?)
OzTraveller (WP) - ?? (J) febs2 (WP) - 26B DownUnderFlyer (WP) - 26C Aus_Mal (WP) - 26H moa999 (WP) - 26K medicus (WP) - 27A |
Hello to all.... I was holding off and hoping to arrange things so as to drop by the dear old QP on the day, but looks like I will find myself in MEL that weekend! I shall raise a glass in memory of the AGM as I enjoy the Friday evening ...... ambience (no, that's not the word I want :)) of the Club!
So... Bronze this year! |
