Unfortunately it is a Business seat I am after and given it is a flight to JNB and I am only on the ground for less than 3 days I am desperate to get it

I have tried CX via HKG, and SAA via PER and F class on all sectors...
Just thought there might have been a way to find out how overbooked the flight was and where I am on the waitlist.
Looks like I will have to pray for teleportation to be invented in the next few days...

I though SAA from PER was codeshare anyway which would probably reduce the liklihood of success.
We sent our GGM there monthly (alas the street crime did not get him.....) and 9/10 times he was J waitlisted. Rumour has it this is one of the highest occupancy legs Qantas have

Oh, and keep on calling to put some preassure on yield management in Melbourne.
