FlyAOW's ITN interface is the same as the "Worldspan: ITN/CWT" method of the KVS Availability Tool -- see the difference (the Amadeus result is the accurate one):

[KVS Availability Tool - Amadeus: AUA]
Code:
MEL Melbourne Tullamarine VI AU [YMML]
LAX Los Angeles Int'l CA US [KLAX]
THU 01 Dec 2005

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability

[KVS Availability Tool - Worldspan: ITN/CWT/US-LA]

jrobin: If you post your route and date(s), I can check to see what the Amadeus availability is...
Right now I am looking for an M class seat on QF 93 MEL-LAX for January 8-12 (I have a seat reserved on QF 93 on the 13th). As of this morning, the QANTAS London office had no M availability for any of those days. Flyaow had M availability for Jan 9th-12 but none on the 8th (i.e. correct for the 8th but not for the other days)

P.S. It would be interesting to see what is said in the PNR for my booking as well if that were possible also.

Here it is -- Amadeus is reporting no M availability for any of those dates:

While the Worldspan GDS (the same system that FlyAOW CWT interface links to) has inaccurate availability:

What does it report for M availability on QF flights BNE-LAX or SYD-LAX for the same dates Jan 8-12 2006?
If there is availability, what are the numbers available?
I plan to call QF in London tomorrow and ask them so would be interesting to have the KVS view. There was availability BNE-LAX today.

Thanks

Well, first of all, the point of the KVS Availability Tool is that users check availability themselves .

To answer your question, M is zeroed-out, except for:

[KVS Availability Tool - Amadeus: AUA]
Code:
BNE Brisbane Int'l QL AU [YBBN]
LAX Los Angeles Int'l CA US [KLAX]
WED 11 Jan 2006

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- --------- ---- --------- ---- -- --------------------------------------------
QF 25 BNE 12:05 LAX 10:30 744 1 J9 C9 D9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 X0
[KVS Availability Tool - Amadeus: AUA]
Code:
BNE Brisbane Int'l QL AU [YBBN]
LAX Los Angeles Int'l CA US [KLAX]
THU 12 Jan 2006

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- --------- ---- --------- ---- -- --------------------------------------------
QF 25 BNE 12:05 LAX 10:30 744 1 J9 C9 D9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 X0

How flexible are your plans? I believe that M is a class you can waitlist for, if that would be an acceptable alternative. As a QF SG, I've never had a problem with an M waitlist confirming in due course (and we are supposed to have some sort of priority on the WL). I've never tried doing it on a silly flight. But the flights you were looking for (KVS' earlier post above) are all:-
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0
So I'd reckon you have a pretty good chance of yield mgt HK'ing you on the one that you want.
