Here is the QF Seat Map.
Being all SkyBed I think any seat in J would be OK. Unlike the 747's the bulkhead Skybed seats have the VOD screen on the bulkhead, not on an arm extended from the seat.
thanks for the links Serfty, I thought there was a search forum feature on FT - is it hiding somewhere?
I'm starting to come around the benefits of aisle seats too NM. Not so much of an issue when you've got 2x2 seating with a generous bulkhead or exit row though. I also like the upper deck window seats on the 74s for the extra storage. Just wondering if the front row of the 333 offers more room; and if so, is the IFE screen close enough? I found front row upper deck of 74s equipped with dreamtime seats to be too little leg room for me.
thanks

There really isn't much more room at the bulkheads with Skybeds. The difference is that the end of the foot-rest is basically at the bulkhead, while at other rows it is slightly under the shell of the seat in front.
The real benefit I found with bulkheads and Dreamtime seats was that there was no seat in front to recline over you, and with the seat in front reclined it was difficult for the Window passenger to get out.
This is not a problem with Skybeds since the rear of the seat is a fixed shell and the recline does not encroach into the space of the seat behind. So I am equally as happy with row 1 or row 2. In fact, on a 2x2x2 config A333, I would go for one of the centre block seats rather than B or J seats. That way there is no window pax to climb out over me while I am asleep.
The IFE screen mounted on the bulkhead is almost exactly the same position as it would be mounted on the back of another seat on a non-bulkhead row. On the 744's, it is a slight advantage to have the screen on a swinging arm, but the downside is that you lose the document storage space inside the arm rest.

Aisle is best, row number not that important - infact towards the middle of cabin will probably be the quiet part. They seem to seat all biz up the front on the seat allocations, regardless of how empty the cabin is - when I queried this I was told it was to do with weight on take off.
I find skybed an improvement but to still not have VOD is a losing point, although I understand this is in the pipeline. The IFE unit is still not the worlds user friendliest.
