There really isn't much more room at the bulkheads with Skybeds. The difference is that the end of the foot-rest is basically at the bulkhead, while at other rows it is slightly under the shell of the seat in front.
The real benefit I found with bulkheads and Dreamtime seats was that there was no seat in front to recline over you, and with the seat in front reclined it was difficult for the Window passenger to get out.
This is not a problem with Skybeds since the rear of the seat is a fixed shell and the recline does not encroach into the space of the seat behind. So I am equally as happy with row 1 or row 2. In fact, on a 2x2x2 config A333, I would go for one of the centre block seats rather than B or J seats. That way there is no window pax to climb out over me while I am asleep.
The IFE screen mounted on the bulkhead is almost exactly the same position as it would be mounted on the back of another seat on a non-bulkhead row. On the 744's, it is a slight advantage to have the screen on a swinging arm, but the downside is that you lose the document storage space inside the arm rest.
