Hmmmm, now THAT is certainly different to the norm.

That's unusual. They must really be expecting low J sales and strong WHY sales at that time. Great deal for WP status flyers stuck with WHY and getting in early.

Well, bravoecho will be able to get this subject back on topic with a response, as he is flying QF51 today.

Update

QF 51 ended up being a 2 class 744 (was hoping for a last minute change )

Typing this from the new SIN QP. Big improvement and well done to QF and BA ^ ^ ^ ^ .

Only half is opened, with the remaining opening early 2005 (so the sign said). Room is now more open, not as dark and windows that look down onto the checkin area with more seats.

Food has been improved. I had a pizza for dinner ^ ^ .

Showers are fantastic, no queue, with Molton Brown amenities. Only complaint would be water pressure.

I just checked my booking for this Thursday's flight, and the flight has been changed to a 747-400. Just like for willyroo they're assigning upstairs as Y - just gave Qantas a call and I'm nicely nestled in 11A now - lets hope that arrangement can stick between now and then (and even better, looking at the seating layout they look like Skybeds too - woohoo! )

Just noticed that my QF51 flight (on 04/04/05) has changed from B743 to A333 and departure is 20 minutes earlier.

It looks like they're making the change from Sun 27/3/05 - though given the loads I've seen on QF51/52 most every time I've flown on it there's no surprise about the shrink. I'm sure for those up the pointy end they'll be happy having Skybeds though (and no chance of the Blue Beast to destroy their dreams for the night ).

Great news for BNE folks looking for Skybeds to Asia and Europe. No more need to transit through SYD or MEL and another option appart from HKG routings.

I'm happy about the change as I've never experienced the Skybeds.
