Flight changes
Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to arrive earlier in Melbourne airport to get on an earlier flight to Sydney (as I have done this before with other airlines like CX but am unfamiliar if QF will allow it?) obviously if there is space in the other flights J cabin.

Will depend on the ticket t&c's.
Paid J class?
They would change if you pay any change fees that may apply.

Nope, a classic upgrade from economy.
Not really, as I was hoping instead of calling and changing online, they would change on the spot (ik airlines are different but something like what CX/KA does at PVG.

This one is a YMMV. I have been successful sometimes; other times not.
Get to the Business Lounge early and politely ask if it were possible to travel on a earlier flight. They may or may not accede to your request.
Best not to have checked luggage.

If there is bad weather somewhere in the network (especially origin or destination), there is a better chance any request to move forward will be granted subject to seating.
