Flight changes

Hi,

I recently used points for an instant upgrade from MEL-SYD on a certain flight and now have realized I need to be on an earlier flight. If i decide to change this flight through calling Qantas or online, do I forfeit the 10,000 points I used to upgrade the fare or is it refunded/transferred as an upgraded ticket onto the new flight?

Thanks in advance.

You may be able to change your flight if U class (Business award) is available on your new flight.

If that is not available and more than 24 hours before the flight you may be able to cancel the upgrade; but that would incur a 5000 point fee: Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions | Qantas
