Cairns Qantas Lounge

Hi,

as OW Sapphire can I use the QF lounge in Cairns while en route to DFW via SYD? IS the lounge nice?

Hi,
Most Definitely! The lounge is a large rectangular room with adequate seating and the standard food + beverage options. There is also a nice view of the runway from the lounge.

You need to have a QF ticket out of Cairns to SYD

For some reason, flights to BNE, SYD and MEL are often scheduled to leave at roughly the same times. This means that a couple of times a day the lounge is very crowded, punctuated by long periods of time when it is almost empty.

Last Thursdays QF927 was about 90% loaded and the lounge was "relatively" quiet, meaning there were still quite a few seats available as the flight was called.

Great layout for watching the runway cycles.

oops! haha, I've only used CNS as a stopover to get to TSV from PER and it's usually quiet during the ungodly hours of the morning (think 0500ish) - no wonder why the lounge looked pretty big to me !!
