Unhappy Transit in BNE

Hi all,

Please help me to find out do I need re-check in my baggage at Brisbane or not.Below is my flight details,

AKL-BNE-SYD-SIN, my final destination is Singapore, I am only stop in Brisbane for get next flight to Sydney and departure to Singapore. Do I need re-check in my baggage at Brisbane airport? Or my baggage could directly to Singapore?

Thanks very much.

Ouch. As BNE-SYD is a domestic flight (unless it is one of the rare domestic legs of international flight) you will need to clear immigration, collect bags and take through customs, recheck bag and transfer from international to domestic terminal. I hope your connection time in Brisbane is sufficiently long.

Concur on the peculiar routing. There's so many options to avoid that
AKL-SIN direct
AKL-SYD-SIN
AKL-MEL-SIN
and if you need to get to SIN slightly earlier, catch the first flights out
AKL-BNE (6 hours)-SIN
AKL-SYD-ADL-SIN (same plane SYD-ADL-SIN)

Is this all with Qantas? If so, what is your BNE-SYD flight number?

If as Kiwi Flyer posts it's a domestic number (>400), you will need to clear immigration at BNE, collect bags and take through customs, recheck bags (counter to the far right as you exit customs) and catch the transfer bis to the domestic terminal (show your BP to the bus driver for free travel).
