Changes in points upgrade?
Howdy all,
I recently booked a SYD-DFW flight and went to request an upgrade with my points. I realised my agent booked a "Q" fare although I told him I was going to request an upgrade. Obviously I was unable to put in a points request.
I rang QF just to see if they could help me on the phone. The guy on the phone told me that as this was a discounted fare I was unable to upgrade. He then told me that this would change in about 2 weeks and I will be able to upgrade.
Has anyone herd about this?

That article relates to changes to DOMESTIC upgrades that came into force 11 days ago.
The OP was referring to International upgrades (cf SYD-DFW).
No, two weeks from now is August 1st - maybe there's something further afoot for international upgrades ...
