Not that this is a Velocity-Qantas thing, so perhaps not 100% germane to the discussion, but Velocity is also doing a 25% bonus points deal at the moment, although you need to transfer points from your credit card: http://www.velocityrewards.com.au/co...BANKPROMO.html

I read on another forum that QF has eliminated any time lounge access to card holders, or perhaps started enforcing a previously neglected rule that members could only access the lounge when flying.

Had e-mailed them well over a month ago and received nothing (not even a reply) and had therefore all but given up. But lo and behold a shiny new card was awaiting my attention in the mail yesterday!
I won't retain it but I can certainly see myself taking a few DJ flights because of this offer.

Well what a surprise arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon! A new shiny Gold Velocity card! Which when I last checked the Velocity online was admit that I was only staying a red.
