Ditto for me - didn't actually apply before they 'closed' the deal, but still got it anyway last week. Yay!

Not as of this morning when I checked my PO Box.

My guess is they're a little snowed under. Hopefully it'll come sooner than later

I read on another forum that QF has eliminated any time lounge access to card holders, or perhaps started enforcing a previously neglected rule that members could only access the lounge when flying.

Can anyone shed more light on this?

Had e-mailed them well over a month ago and received nothing (not even a reply) and had therefore all but given up. But lo and behold a shiny new card was awaiting my attention in the mail yesterday!

I won't retain it but I can certainly see myself taking a few DJ flights because of this offer.

got mine today - Mrs VH-RMD's has not yet arrived.

If they pull the finger out and put in a J class, I may just retain, especially out of OOL.

OT - Virgin Blue to join *A?

From today's atwonline.com:

speculation increased that Blue would join the Star Alliance following CEO John Borghetti’s presence at the Star CEOs' meeting in Queenstown, New Zealand on Monday.

Well what a surprise arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon! A new shiny Gold Velocity card! Which when I last checked the Velocity online was admit that I was only staying a red.

May only have little use for me, but a wonderful Christmas Surprise, thanks Virgin!

I'm not sure about DJ joining Star, but I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong.

I find this article quite interesting...
