Or at least it has in the past.

For points activity:

Go to the QF OZ website and sign in your memebership as normal.
Click on FF and then to "earning Points" and then click "travel & travel services" then go down the list to "travel books" and click

Click on the "itravelbooks.com.au" link button.

You can then make an online book purchase in any currency and you will recieve 2points per $spent. THERE IS NO MINIMUM SPEND TO EARN QF POINTS

You must add your FF no on the confirm order page.

I have seen books as low as $9.95 AUD.

I am not aware of any cheaper way to recieve a QF FF points movement.

I am suprised more people inside or outside of OZ are not aware of this.

I have kept this one a secret for some time now.

But in the Chrissy Spirit!

Happy season everyone

PS. (Hint) A street map of an Oz Capital city is only $9.95+ postage

Do not see the point in keeping this a secret. It seems to be a legitimate way to get points and surely they will still have that special book you cannot do without.

And was something which was recommended in the past already for people who needed activity.

Taken together (must have activity every 18 months, family transfers don't count), it would seem to me that the whole point behind the changes is to drive more expediture through partners, especially by folk that don't fly much. I would expect people will be hunting out cheap ways of keeping their points alive.

Going to SIN is not that easy. If I go to SIN I will continue to Australia at a similar effort and price.

Even if people resist shopping at Woolworths doing it once every 18 months cannot hurt that much.

Now ffers living outside AU must have one activity not a big ask. Keeping status is an issue for those outside AU.

Or the point is to make more points expire and therefore getting a profit on the QF balance sheet.

New changes in QFF 1JUL10

Just noticed tonight that QFF has new T&C effective as of 1JUL10. I don't know what the explicit differences are.

I only noticed it because I was checking CX eligible fare classes and discovered that now BHKLMV are considered discount economy earning 0.5 points/mile. This is a change when BHK were earning 1 point/mile about a year ago - I'm just about to book a CX r/t SIN-SFO which will only get me 50% points .

Anyone able to do an analysis and see if there are other changes? Or point me at the right thread if my search-fu is weak?

Guessing, but I think the Pending July 1 changes* may have been incorporated into general content.

*e.g. "Family Transfers" no longer count as "activity".

Points Plus Pay has been added, I believe. I don't think it was there in the previous version.

Several changes.

Around Jul 2:
Minor changes involving Retail Rewards - mainly around their legal liability.

These occurred around Jul 1:

They rolled the "Jul 1" expiry point changes into the main T&Cs.
Finnair earning rates changed from 1 point/mile into 0.25 and 0.50 points/mile in Economy.
Finnair flights AY1001-AY3000 or AY7001-AY9999. now earn points.

Around 7 June:
LAN earning changed slightly to exclude flights to Ecuador in certain classes.

Around 13 May:
China Eastern earning added.

I think CX was changed around 19 Feb, along with changes on the same date to BA earning and some other airlines.
