Don’t worry, will probably come up again postcorona.

Are you sure that the world post-corona exists ? If yes, I am not sure that this world allows Europe to Asia travel anymore :(

Had my tickets booked for Dec 2020-Jan 2021 via an OTA. In early Oct, I received an email from the OTA confirming that the flights were cancelled, so I asked them to move the booking to Aug 2021. OTA replied that Saudia doesn't have a confirmed schedule for Summer next year but they agreed to keep the tickets open for another year.

My OTA (Gotogate) didn't allow me to reschedule for next year (to extend ticket validity I think; but I booked in Jan 2020 for Jan 2021). I was contacted by agency and requested to request a refund (yep, exactly this happened).

What is/was your refund timeline for bookings made with OTA, guys?

It took around a month (maybe just over a month) for the refund to hit my account. Just be mindful of the service charge when getting a refund.
Can't remember how much it was (€50 comes to mind). Might be better off getting a voucher? They were offering a good deal if you took the voucher (belive it was 15%?).

Was a while ago so sorry for the vague response.

Thanks! Yep, Gotogate charges 40EUR or GBP for the refund -- they deducted the same amount for a refund of Air China deal.

I was not offered any voucher, but I would have most probably decline it anyway. I received an e-mail from travel agency explaining the airline doesn't have any offer to reschedule and I was explicitly asked to request a refund FYI.

The ATH-JEB route has at least for now turned into a seasonal route that end in late August. The fare is still available from IST for about 1200

I did see that but decided to not to mention it as most people don't find TUN as the easiest place to transit.

It's a pity. I hope somewhere the €750-€900 returns. .
