Thanks so much OP! I was able to scoop up Apr 20 - May 8 on Hainan’s website (a bit earlier in the day now). I just checked and the fare might be gone now. 787 nonstop flights from ORD to Chengdu for $1235. Been wanting to visit this area and this was a steal! Seems like a mistake fare but the tickets were issued. I hope they honor it. Thanks again

Got in on the $1235 deal next March! Going for 3 days only otherwise risk getting divorced before even getting married. Who’s in CTU 24-27 March?
For Tuesday departures 9/17 to 12/10 the price is $1687 RT for the ORD-CTU route. Still a decent deal especially for MVP gold 75k folks.

HU is having some interesting promotions lately. Today I saw an advertisement for "Member's Day" specials, available for purchase on the 8th day of the month.
Deals are not as good as the other promotion, and the rules say that sale is limited to the Hainan website to members of their FF program. I have no idea how restrictive
they might be about changing the FF number after purchase.
Chicago to several cities in China in J for USD 1575.

Above mention 8th day of month, is that on China time or US?

The Ts&Cs on the website says that they are being a bit flexible with the definition of the 8th - it says until 12 noon on the 9th, but I don't know which location's noon is considered.
I haven't looked at it much, but at least on some days, the ORD-CTU fare can be US$ 1687 even without having a membership.

For those who missed out earlier, don't worry, HU has another one, they'll keep having those sales as they need those to fill up the planes, the lowest J I saw was out of ORD from $1617 USD

Travel Period: 10/14/2019-12/5/2019; 2/10/2020-4/23/2020
p.s. The low $1617 fares out of ORD seem to be only available in 2019. In 2020 they're still holding steady at $2500. Also if you have FWC number, log in to see the best prices, they're sometimes lower even than searched through kayak.com
