Could you post a sample itin routing through HKG? Would like to lock one of these in. Good way to get most of the way to a plat requal. Also, possible to route into XIY and out of PEK all on AA metal to get the 2x EQM for J?
, UA's $2400 fare has been there for a while thought.

Not sure it'd be worth all those extra flights and the extra $ for me. I am looking for AA EQM, and that routing looks like it'd come out to 38,160 EQM and be completely exhausting, while relatively simple YYZ-DFW-PEK-DFW-YYZ all on AA metal (at 2x instead of 1.5 for CX) nets 32,680. I think the 32k should be enough to easily boost me on my way to Platinum or Platinum Pro. Looks like As long as I take off my late April, I can take advantage of a break at work and get a ~2 week trip out of this AND a solid chunk of miles. Thanks for finding this! Will probably book in the next day or two.

just booked one of these YYZ-ORD-PEK-DFW-YYZ and tacked on some cheap flights and avios awards to give me stops in Xi'an, Hong Kong, Manila and Boracay. Going to be a solid trip and a quality MR! With this chunk carved out, PLT should be a breeze. Temped to book a second shorter there and back for Jan.

Yes, this routing is allowed, but only 19,175 miles, YYZ-DFW-HKG-PEK-HKG-DFW-YYZ is 21,112 miles.

The fare is also available out of Vancouver connecting on to the LAX flight for the same price just booked one myself.

I am not very familiar with AA/OW, does HKG consider AA gateway? May be this is the reason, played around a little bit and yes the price goes up a lot, fare rule stay the same though.

AA: YVR-PEK via LAX ~$1970USD I have booked one
American is offering Vancouver via LAX to Beijing for 1970 US dollars. The bad news is you have to stay over in Beijing for five days. I also posted the Hainan fare where you earn a significantly more EQM bonus miles if you credit to AS MileagePlan as oppose to these AA flights. And the HU fare is only slightly more expensive.
I don’t think routing through ORD or DFW is possible out of YVR because there isnt enough time to catch the flights to China.
For those wanting to attain Alaska airlines elite status these are all very good options. I personally would take the Hainan flights because of the 200% EQM bonus. I have booked One of the HU’s and one of the AA’s. HU J is also much better where you get turn down Service. I’ve never had a bad HU Flight.
