BA ams-lhr-mct-lhr PE £413
Premium economy though to Muscat with the return finishing in LHR which which saves on the ex-Europe costs.

£413 which is not bad in PE and can do the LHR-AMS on avios one way for 4,000 avios as £17.50. Might even be worth a phone call to see if an upgrade to business is possible.

Payment Total GBP 425.46
plus I was able to use some accumulated SAS Eurobonus points for a couple of the hotel nights so all in all a cheap trip !

Have a look on Google flights with AMS-MCT as round trip first - this will highlight cheapest dates:

Find some dates you like and change to multi city (AMS-MCT-LHR) - you should see the ~£413 fare.

we have also done an IHG points redemption for the Crowne Plaza Muscat. Has anyone stayed there before?
