Orbitz says they never ticketed the itinerary and that as a result it got left sitting there in que and got taken off their ticketing.
But I'm suspecting it had something to do with airberlin not responding to ticket it.
Can travel agencies do that without customers seeking grievances? Advertise fares, book you, then cancel 4 days later? I know 4 days later they would not had let ME cancel the itinerary if I had wanted.

Turned out to be a hiccup with Orbitz, apparently. Agent called me back with ticketing department on the other end, and they immediately ticketed after re-booking. Took two hours, but now I'm at least confirmed.

Great, now the genius orbitz agent booked me into Y on the TXL-MUC-TXL segment and had the ticket issued immediately. Instead of what I had originally the whole way through of I-fare on the intra-Europe, she put us in Y. Their website still shows I is available all the way through. I'm within 24 hr cancel window but don't wanna risk any more monkey business.
Does anyone know if this will effect my ability to enter the lounge in TXL?
Should I cancel and rebook?

Also fare is still available, my mistake.
Been checkig other dates, using googleflights. I assume the fare needs a Saturday night stay, but playing around with the dates should give you the fare. Still seeing this fare for dates in October, and early September.

Yes looks to be available on many many of their routes, if not all from the states. This is one hell of a deal, especially with summer traveling coming up and needing to get to Europe well rested.

I flew AB in J from MIA to DUS some months ago - the hard product is not very good, the seats are very narrow and it was hard to fit my shoulders when lying down. Try to get a seat by the window, in the aisle seat you are bound to get bumped every time somebody walk by.
