AC: YYZ-NRT direct ~$2074USD; ~$2847CAD
Seems to be a new deal as of today, cheapest active deal from the east coast to Asia in Business class lie flat that I could find for this summer.
Air Canada round trip, including lots of 787 direct flights. Appears to be ~June 14th through Sept 4th. Lots of options connecting through YVR and YYC, seems to be available Sun-Thursday all summer.
Example.

I checked for duplicate threads and didn't see anything, mods feel free to move/delete/format if this deal is already posted.

It is not just to NRT..there are direct daily flights to HND out of Toronto...looks like the cheap prices are up until mid Sept
(Cheapest in Canadian dollars is ~$2850 which is around the US price you are quoting)
Not sure how long this one will last as they are selling J cheaper than premium economy (albeit the premium economy is easier to cancel and get money back)
Not sure when that sale started but I booked a return flight last weekend for end of August. Have not seen J prices that cheap to Japan out of AC in the past. I would recommend buy now rather than wait...just check them out on the AC website

Nice find! Looks like it picks back up again mid-December through the end of February.

BTW.....
1. This fare has been around for a little over a week. No newsy news about it, just found it on the website and thought hey, cheap summer P fare (AC's lowest biz fare category), so I bought a few.
2. Compared to the other P fare they have which is running in the $6,000 CAD range and requires a 7 night stay, this one is a deal.
3. And yes, it is extremely restrictive and unlike other AC P fares to Asia, is non-refundable. The HKG Ps have to compete in a different market, so those tickets are often refundable for $300-500 CAD.
4. And yes, the AC Premium Economy tickets to NRT/HND and HKG (my usual routes) have very reasonable refund fees (again due to competition). When NRT is selling at $1,700 CAD and change, I buy those - for both price and flexibility.
5. And for those who aren't familiar, AC 1/2 YYZ-NRT is a seasonal route. AC 3/4 is from YVR and AC5/6 is YYZ-HND.
6. And for those of you who belong to Aeroplan, there was a targeted email sent out this week that has 15,000 bonus on select routes from various cities in Biz or PE. One of the routes is YYZ-NRT.

I normally fly into HND, but the 15,000 bonus convinced me to use NRT.
And agree with your that PE to NRT/HND from YYZ is fine at 1700..too bad they seem to be charging >$3200 a lot of the time. At that price, forget it.
