Is the TSA checking immigration status?
If someone is on an overstay flying domestically with a valid foreign passport, is the TSA checking the immigration status?
EDIT: Hey, i am a US citizen! this was a theoretical question.

Bad answer/Poor suggestion.
DL's have addresses. Passports typically do not. I don't care to share my address with anyone at a TSA station. It's not info they would ever need, unless it's to additionally harass (Kangaroo court letters), or to determine a good B&E target, so giving TSA something with that info can only be a losing proposition for me.
Paper clipping the no-need for access passport pages together tends to limit their fishing expeditions.
How pathetic have we become?

I believe you are serious, but this statement always suggests "Can anyone help a new widow and recommend methods to remove blood from carpet and a hammer? This is a theoretical question, my late husband is NOT over there on the floor. . ."

The TSA has no way to verify immigration status. If someone gives the Travel Document Checker (TDC) an invalid or forged ID (suspected) of some kind then we will involve Law Enforcement, who may decide to check the immigration status of an individual. It is not TSAs call.
