Fake Engineer @ Qantas
From Bogus Qantas engineer is jailed:
So it was only one bosses concern about more moolah for the phoney engineer that caused it to unravel.
Incredible! Doesn't Qantas verify anything? One might wonder why they've had so many inflight incidents with their aircraft.
Does Qantas do any 3rd party work (equivalent of our FAA Part 145 certificate)? Did they touch the NW 742's that were in SYD a while back? Makes one nervous ....

I'll bet you he was charming and a br@@nnoser. That will get you much further than any qualifications in this world.
I have seen far too many people impress supervisors by repeating their colleagues findings without having a clue as to what they were talking about.
However there is no excuse for this happening in such a critical position.
And what about his colleagues? He must have bamboozled them all as well.
