One of his bosses became concerned Mr McCormack was not getting paid enough for the more senior work and asked him to produce his qualifications.
So it was only one bosses concern about more moolah for the phoney engineer that caused it to unravel.
Incredible! Doesn't Qantas verify anything? One might wonder why they've had so many inflight incidents with their aircraft.
Does Qantas do any 3rd party work (equivalent of our FAA Part 145 certificate)? Did they touch the NW 742's that were in SYD a while back? Makes one nervous ....
