What do they taste like?QUOTE]
I remember it tasting like onion vanilla pudding. I don't recall it smelling all that offensive though.

I vaguely remember hearing about durians. What do they taste like? And of course, what do they smell like? And what would be the difference in odor between a "fresh" Durian and a rotten one?
Does anyone know where I can acquire one in Florida?
And does anyone have a high-res pic of the "no durian" sign? That might be fun th put in the office break room.

Your best bet to get a durian should be an asian/chinese supermarket.

I love durians myself and the smell does not bother me.

Durians represent a hazard under several categories....
Rumor has it that the Al Kudzu terror group which has a lodge hall in Balikakapan has constructed clever durian bombs designed to fling wet fragments throughout retail stores, causing the merchandise to ber cloaked in an irrevocable scent.
If you were able to get one through security, your neighbors on the flight would likely have you arrested for having created a public nuisance and mopery in a commercial conveyance.
....On the other hand, can you imagine the challenge for the TSA, attempting to dispose of ripe and aromatic durian?
