Is Durian considered as Liquid?

I'm just wondering if someone opens a durian and put them inside an airtight plastic container and bring it to his flight as carry-on,
Will the TSA confiscate it claiming as liquid?
What will happen if he open the container and dump the durian into their garbage can? Will it trigger a breach because of its smell ?
Will the passenger be on the watch list as potential terorist?

So what happens if the TSO opens the air-tight plastic container at the checkpoint for further inspection?

Immediate involuntary terminal dump!

I don't know that I'd consider a durian a liquid, but I think possession of an 'unshielded' durian could be considered an act of aggression against anyone within 100 feet!

I've seen whole durian for sale at a Chinese market in LA's Chinatown -- been a couple of years, though.

I recently read an article in which the author brought a sliced Durian back to his room in an elegant BKK hotel. The author sealed the Durian in a ziplock bag and covered it with ice in the bathroom sink. It must not have been very effective as hotel security arrived within minutes asking him to discard the offensive-smelling object. I believe I read this in the current issue of Vogue. Article was by Jeffrey Steingarten.

Wink

It might be considered as a chemical treat because of its wonderful smell. But yea, just walk into any bit Asian market store you'll find frozen, and fresh one. Fresh one of course is more expensive. Frozen one not quite, but I think you can bring the frozen up lolz, it might not smell as much

I think Samuel L. Jackson did a movie about this about a year or two ago

Exactly. Even indoors in an aircon supermarket, e.g. Carrefour in Singapore in Suntec City, you can easily smell them from probably 150-200ft away.

I've seen them for sale in the Chinese markets here (Las Vegas) many a time.

Carrying one on an airplane, though? Sounds like attempted chemical warfare!

Wirelessly posted (BB8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/106)

I vaguely remember hearing about durians. What do they taste like? And of course, what do they smell like? And what would be the difference in odor between a "fresh" Durian and a rotten one?

Does anyone know where I can acquire one in Florida?

And does anyone have a high-res pic of the "no durian" sign? That might be fun th put in the office break room.
