Customs....?
While pulling into a gate @ LAS last week I saw a big red stripe with the word Customs (and something else, which I can't remember) that ran maybe 50 yards behind the entire terminal behind the gates. Does anyone know what this stripe says in it's entirety, and what it means?

36 05 18.05/ 115 09 13.73 Is the cords. You'll see it about center screen.
Anyone have any ideas what it says/means? All I caught was US Customs

Looks like a mark to define the customs zone for international arrivals as it surrounds the area a plane would park in at that gate. Until a plane is cleared by Customs I'm pretty sure that airline employees are not allowed to approach it perhaps other than to get it parked. In other words, stay behind the line until the man with the shiny badge says otherwise.

That makes sense, but the A/B gates at LAS are domestic. If it was used for international would they bus everyone to the CBP checkpoint at LAS?

I once had the need to exchange some currency back into USD a number of years ago and remember having to walk outside from the main passenger terminal over to the above mentioned separate terminal (bit of a walk as well, IIRC).
Just curious - never had the need to fly international ex-LAS, as such I'm only familiar with the gates and concourses that the mainlines operate from - lately, primarily the "D" concourse known for the long security queues and the tram ride to/from airside.

Is there a FIS (federal inspection station) anywhere within the main terminal complex at LAS, or are all international operations using that separate international/charter type terminal which kind of looks outdated.

I have seen a glassed off area in the C gates (Southwest) that has dual escalators that go down somewhere. I have never seen this open or in operation though. Again a trek from the A/B gates. There may be a station down there.
