TSA in Blue shirts!
Flew out of Baltimore yesterday and noted that all of the TSA agents were wearing blue shirts. I asked one of the agents about this and he stated they started wearing them two weeks ago--brand new and then rolled his eyes. Is this change going to be system wide? What was wrong with the white shirts? How much money is this going to cost?

Cliff Huxtable would do a better job at securing airports than your current boss.

I saw these new uniforms at BWI a couple of weeks ago. The shade of blue chosen is a sharp royal blue...not a shade "law enforcement" uniforms typically use. Personally, I thought they looked like something out of a fast food chain.
(After further reflection, I realized that maybe they were intended to make the TSA employees happier by letting them wear something familiar.)

It just reminds me of Barney Fife...pretty uniform, shiny piece of tin, have to ask Andy's permission to take the bullet out of the shirt pocket.
It will give some TSO the feeling that they have "authority" to act in all ways LEO...I am betting that at least one TSO has already tried to use his/her piddly piece of tin to get out of a ticket...
Well, guess what, I have a piece of tin too. However, I am well aware that it just says I am a member of a rescue squad and only display it publicly when performing rescue squad-type duties when not in uniform.

The white shirts are a pain to keep clean.
I am dreading the switch to blue, as I'm not sure I'll be able to get the stains out. I often do my barn chores before changing out of my uniform, and my cows have a tendency to slobber on me. Let's hope I can get grass stains outta the new ones ...

to complete the outfit....
