Exactly. I have a middle-eastern (non-arab) last name, and some what darker skin. However, I'm Jewish (from my mom), and was born in America to an American mom. I guess that makes me understandably a terrorist. At least it does to the TSA. I always seem to get the stern-talking to from them, about why I have to remove my DVD player from the case (before the days when it was required) when I know that this didn't happen to others. My favorite was when the liquid farce began, and they were conducting "random searches," I was "randomly" selected three times in the same day (twice at the same gate). The TSO said "you've been randomly selected" so i set my bag on the ground and told him to search away, and then added "random my a**" he didn't take too kindly to that, but he said nothing as i t ignored his presence and blocked the jetway so i didn't lose a coveted exit row seat on SWA.
My point in all this is that not only is unacceptable, its also inefficient. I'm guessing if I had my brother's features (lighter skin tone, more "jewish" looking) and mother's last name, I would no longer be a random person of interest...I doubt Mr. Cohen or Mrs. Friedman get quite the selection that I do, even though they pose the same threat I do. I feel for Mr. Fazel, although I have a feeling, after all the press, he will be removed from the "list"
