Courtesy Card?

I have reason to believe that my bag was opened on a recent flight.

When retrieving my bag at my destination - I noticed that a ribbon belt attached to a pair of shorts was trailing from the bag.

I know that I would have noticed two 12' ribbons trailing from the bag when I packed it.

There was no card inside indicating that the bag had been searched.

Have they stopped including them?

Hit and Miss...

From my experiences, I have usually received the card in my luggage that it was opened, but I have had several incidents where it was obviously opened and have not seen a notice.

From reading the boards, that is pretty common. I think if you receive the card depends on the "screener" that inspects your bag. I imagine there is some reason these people don't include one, be it laziness or something else.

I put a purchased colored nylon band around any luggage I check. About half the time when the TSA inspects my bag it is replaced. The other half of the time they put it in one of the zippered compartments or place it inside. One must wonder about the IQ of about half of the TSA staff.

Yes. They had a small cost overrun puffers and shoe scanners so they had to cut into their budget *somewhere*.

I hear you loud and clear and I meant it when I said half qualify for the sub-catagory. The other half are excellent employees doing a good job with care, politeness, courtesy and professionalism.

yup as there's that a few that work sfo-ua which should be cloned as they are simply outstanding ^^^. i've gotten to know a few of them and not only are they good but they actually enjoy their work by showing a positve and upbeat attitude [and have a great sense of humor complete with the obligatory "oh, no not you again" ].
