Disfunctional idoits at DCA
Haven't flown from DCA lately, it's been BWI or IAD mostly due to pricing.
Arrived at the line for the DL pier at DCA, as I started into the line, there was a guy with a yellow shirt, MWAA (airport authority) emblem, and a handful of baggies. THis is "new". No big deal, I walked past him as he barked about liquids.
Got to the front of the line, and was waiting to go through the XRay and WTMD. THere were no plastic bins, but there were stacks on the other lines, and another yellow-shirted person, with baggies in hand, barking about liquids. I looked at him and said, "We need some bins over here, why don't you bring some" and he said "Someone will bring some soon"... my response was a very curt "you're standing there doing nothing, why can't you do it?" as he turned his back to me.
The passenger in front of me retrieved about 10 bins from the other line while the fool in yellow stood there. As I was pushing my stuff along the table, a TSA screener brought a stack of bins over, placed them on the table, and shoved my stuff to the ground.
Wholly and totally inappropriate.
If the airport's going to provide a service, their folks should help keep the line moving.

DCA TSA Screeners
Don't ask what your airport can do for you
Ask what you can do for your airport
The security checkpoints at DCA are certainly
in the running for "Worst Operated" awards
I'm there all too often
