TSA Ticket Security

Yesterday I did my 1st mileage run. Since I had several boarding passes in my hand I decided to conduct an experiment. On a few of the legs I had a chance to exit security and re-enter. Each time I re-entered the security line I handed the TSA ticket checker agent an incorrect boarding pass (one from another segment). EVERY airport failed!!! It was pretty funny to look at all of my boarding passes with TSA stamps from incorrect airports on them.

One of the gate agents noticed the stamp and when I explained what happened she said "I am sure Kip would love to hear about that!". I replied "Kip is an idiot", she smiled and I proceeded to board.

What exactly is "childish" about it? OP basically proved that checkpoint security is largely bull..... How is that "childish"?

IMO, "childish" is the make-believe security we have. The TSA is a bunch of retards playing let's-pretend.

Childish is the DHS/TSA with knee-jerk overreactions not much different than a tantrum-throwing kid who gets what he wants, either by browbeating the other kids to surrender their candy, by being a petty thief, or by manipulating parents who have no clue how to be good parents.

One incident self reported by one person with an obvious issue, and which could be completely fictional, makes the case for you that all checkpoint security is largely bs?

I think we need a new definition of retards, and of playing pretend.

Parents everywhere are smiling knowingly at this post. I'm guessing perhaps that you are not one.

Regardless of what DHS/TSA-apologists say, one incident after another gives proof day and night that "the leaders" at the DHS/TSA are challenged in their faculties, mental and otherwise.

Good parents everywhere are not smiling knowingly. But some may be smiling ignorantly with regards to the security nonsense.

It's the date, not the place

From what I understand the TSA is interested in it being a valid boarding pass for the day you are flying. They don't, nor would I expect them to know every airline or flight from their airport.
I think one of the TSA supervisors told me its the date that is important. Before I quit smoking I used to go in and out of security at every non-smoking airport I transferred through. Flight delayed? No problem - outside for another smoke. Even the airports that initialled my boarding pass didn't hassle me when I went through security again with the same BP. If they asked I just told them I was out for a smoke. Never had a problem with this.

I believe the bags read "Kip Hawley is an idiot". Does "retard" connote that he has gotten smarter since the bag's initial release? In that case, let's stick with the original. No revision needed, given idiocy reigns supremse.

Given your willingness to embrace the term "retard," I guess you're also good with racial epithets as well?

The two have no relationship with one another, but you certainly seem intent on bringing ancillary items into the discussion that have no relationship with matters mentioned earlier in this topic.

Anyone who had understood my post would recognize that I said " let's stick with the original" -- meaning "idiot" was more appropriate.

It's not one incident...it's incident after incident on a consistent basis, coupled with completely non-sensical regulations (which TSA is totally incapable of enforcing). In the years since 9/11, I've traveled with my Leatherman tool (including knife blades) a few dozen times, since August I've taken liquids and gels on planes both "pre-baggie" and "post-baggie" (but not in a baggie), etc. Need I go on? I can't carry a lighter on the plane, but I can carry matches. I can show a mismatched boarding pass and walk right through security. Etc. etc. etc.

You know, actually my characterization of TSA people as retarded is unfair to retarded people. I've read studies which indicate that they (retarded people) are actually quite good workers at simple tasks. Maybe they should be working checkpoints.
