People who wear or use a catheter for medical reasons need some sort of lubricant to insert these items. So there is a real medical reason to have KY or similar for some people.

FYI
I think the whole point here is that LOTS of people have medical (major or minor) issues that require items on board. So why do the "catheter" passengers get an exception when all the others do not? The KY jelly folks are missing out on an awesome opportunity by not immediately selling this stuff in a container which is easy to empty/refill, Huh?

But the KY bottles are easy to empty and refill, see my prior post. Granted they are small bottles, but I'm looking for ways to carry on travel amount size of cosmetics (hair gel, hairspray), I don't necessarily need a bigger bottle to get drinking water on an airplane. I get enough drinking water in the clubs/onboard so this part of the ban isn't a problem for me.
