Bloody brilliant!!
Do you have to put it in a cardboard box? or will they take a garbage bag?

Comes to think of it, I have a bottle of dirty radiator fluid sitting in my garage since I don't know where to dump it. Can I just bring to the check point and lose to the TSA now?

This is all wonderful, except that airlines charge for weight overages. The last time I was a brilliant packer (just look at how much I can fit into one bag!), it cost me money.

Just stick to the allowable limits.

2 containers @ 50lbs each = no overweight charges.

Check with your airline for the amount of garbage you're permitted to discard free of charge. @:-)

Brilliant Idea Spiff!

I have these odd shaped clumps of concrete that once served as supports for fence posts.....have not been able to dispose of them as my municipality requests that I not dump construction waste in the trash - but the TSA can have 'em!!!

Yeah!!! Way to make lemonade out lemons!

Just put it in a container that contains what you want to get rid of. A Hefty Cinch Sack has probably been used as "luggage" in the past.

used radiator fluid looks a lot like Coke or Pepsi, especially if there's rust and you add a little food coloring. Why not use on of those containers? It should be easy for the TSA to locate such an item if you position it properly. They get to high-five and slap each other's posteriors over The Big Catch and you get to avoid expensive disposal fees. Win-win, as long as they don't sample the Catch.

Yes, this is a real concern with some of the ideas being presented here. Things like poop, fertilizer, etc., would likely be flagged as explosives due to their chemical composition.

Hence stick to clippings from the yard, car tires and rocks.

If you pack something heavy in a cheap container (like a styrofoam picnic cooler), the CTX machine is likely to rupture the container when it shoots out of the machine. This causes a mess for the TSA to clean up and now gives you the opportunity to file a claim if you so desire. @:-)

A styrofoam cooler with yard clippings and a cinder block would probably be ideal.

What value would you place on the "invaluable" yard clippings and cinder block with TSA and AIRLINES?

This is also a great way to get rid of yard clippings, old tires or any other crap you've got around the house.

You can think of the TSA as your friendly and efficient Resident Stationary Engineers who will cheerfully take care of up to 100 lbs in each direction of unwanted junk, with no additional charge.

Oh my god...you just made my day!
