More changes coming?
Heard a news report today while driving back to the hotel: supposedly TSA is planning on changing the rules to allow "clear" bottles of water, but passengers must take a drink from them.
They also had a nice set of quotes from a congressman lambasting TSA over "fighting the last war".
They also had a sound bite from Mary Schiavo saying that TSA still is not doing enough with shoes.
Sigh.
Sorry, no links, it's not listed as a printed story on the radio station web site.

Link to audio story here (assume it will be up for a while, it was posted at 14:08 today, and is titled: "Will the TSA Revise Its Airport Security Procedures?")
http://www.wtop.com/?sid=595567&nid=92
See if this direct link works:
http://www.wtop.com/emedia/33289.mp3
The congressman that lambasted TSA is Rep. Linder.
Mary Schiavo is a lawyer that's worked on aviation safety matters. Details here:

I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I have to say that I have never voluntarily relied on an airline to feed and water me. I've been stuck with my wife & kids on flights that were diverted, late, etc. Many times we were the ONLY people with food & drink for ourselves but more importantly, our kids. I don't like being sealed inside an aluminum tube and at the mercy of someone else for food and drink.

Why are you all of a sudden so afraid of liquids?
The threat of liquid explosives has been well known for many years.
Why weren't you lobbying to protect us from scary liquids all this time?

Can you explain me is bottled water is allowed beyond the checkpoint again? I can take bottle water with me on the plane. I am only have one with the bottled water. Does you still changing the policy from TSA?
