EWR question

I am flying from Berlin to CVG with my 1 1/2 y.o. I've found a good connection through EWR, but it only allows 2 hours to connect-- is this enough time to get through immigration (we're American) and security? (Will we have to go through security to connect to a domestic flight? I'm assuming so...)

THanks,

Kaye

Returned from the UK last Wednesday with wife and son and 3 checked bags through EWR. Customs/immigration/rechecking bags/security took approximately 40 minutes from deplaning. We were in BF, so not the last to get onto the queues from that flight, but there were other international arrivals being processed at the same time. I suspect your experience would be the same, at least on a weekday.

Might be dicey if the international leg is delayed at all, but otherwise I think you'll be OK.

You should have no problems with 2 hours. You don't mention the carrier which will make a difference with respect to customs. If you are on Continental, you will pull into the CO international Concourse C. I often get through this in under 30 minutes but it can take longer with luggage if you hit during peak time.

To connect you must go back through security - if you are connecting onward with Continental, once you exit Customs you'll be able to re-enter the Continental terminal via the security checkpoint at the high #'d C concourse gates.

IF you're connecting onto a Delta flight to CVG, they depart out of the low gates in concourse B (Low # gates). Take the Air Train to Concourse B for Delta Air Lines.

If you're incoming on a non-US carrier, the Customs & Immigrations is located in Concourse B (higher gates). I have always managed to get through this quickly in recent times, but YMMV if you hit during "peak" period.

Any change in concourses will require a trip on the EWR "Air Train" which connects the three concourses, C, B, and A, along with the parking garages and train station.

continental

It would be on Continental. That sounds relatively simple, if I understand you correctly.

Thanks again!
