Proper arrangements would have been made if the Prince from Spain had contacted the US with 72 hrs notice instead of 6 hrs. Should he have been treated the way he was, no.
But then again, TSA system is this "Everyone is a terrorists until we find no weapons". It sucks but it's the fact of the matter. Even screeners get repeatly screened in a day, of course not the same as everyone else aka shoes being the only real difference.
On a side note:
Letizia Ortiz is a very beauitful young lady

With six hours notice, the state department SHOULD have had time to bake him a freaking cake! It only takes ONE hour to fly a real security team from DC to Miami. There's just no reason to risk sending a high profile individual through regular security. I ask again. If they can't even keep track of our high profile guests, why are we trusting them to keep track of terrorists? The terrorists won't give six hours notice either.
