last post.... maybe

Well, I'm not here to get into a pissing match. I just felt like ranting and if this Spliff and Carmelgreg are going to jump all over this like white on rice then I feel sorry for them.

I will not answer any retort from anyone and I may not even post here again. I just posted this first time because I feel that much of what I was reading was coming from folks that had nothing better to do than jump on the bandwagon and start bashing TSA and it was frankly getting rather irritating.

Again, we need to realize how good we have it here in the U.S.

Even this person can see that there are only a core group of about 20/25 who actually post here that feel violated.

Since your probably not a FF but feel the need to share how much you are doing for the flying public's safety as a TSA employee you probably don't read the various Airline Loyalty forums. There are many more than 20/25 FF's at FT that feel the same as the "core group" posters here they just don't make it a point to point out the BS in the name of safety crap you guys try and feed up while wrapping yourselves in the flag here in the Safety/Security forum. They know their interests are being addressed by others........

It IS a very small minority. Populated by their uber-spokesmen Spiff and to a greater extent, Mr. Greggy. I do love their rants, but have to admit that Spiff has more intelligence in his pinky than thuggish Greg will ever have. The difference in style is amazing, one a bullying thug and the other who will actually debate an issue without resorting to name calling or childish rants. Sometimes I want to give Greg a quarter and send him to the dispenser in the ladies room.

Spiff seems to have more patience than I. I'll give you that. There is no reason to debate most of your garbage as it has already been done in other posts. Every time you recruit a new Goon from TSAScreener.com they post the same old stuff you folks already conceded on, wrap themselves in the flag and tell us how much we should appreciate what they are doing....

If the money is to go to the current version of the TSA then I do not want to pay for it, you are right. I have no confidence in the TSA's ability to make decisions. The answer is not more money, just like education, there is enough money it how it's being spent.

I know I said that I probably wouldn't post again but I feel the need and justification to post one last time.

I am going to speak for myself and myself only but I know that the sentiment that I am about to speak of is fairly widespread within the TSA.

I am a retired military guy and I served my country proudly for 20 years. I was in during Desert Storm.

I was in a very comfortable career when 9/11 happened but I felt a strong urge to leave that and join the TSA to be able to give something back to my country again. I am a flag waving patriot and the actions of the terrorists hit me at my innermost feelings and emotions. I joined the TSA thinking I could maybe make a little difference and try to defend our soil that we live on so that no terroristic actions like 9/11 would happen here in the U.S. again..!!

Now, being with the TSA for over a year...I realize that it isn't a perfect organization and it is not managed very well, but as I said, there are quite a few vets that are employed by the TSA that I'm sure would duplicate my feelings and emotions as to why they are here.

It's attitudes of the sort that are expressed here by some of the "blowholes"
that make our job tough sometimes.
How would you like it if a bunch of screeners came to your place of employment and told you that your organization stinks and that is a waste of taxpayers money..?

Now, back to why I originally posted this.

When I die...at least I know that my casket WILL be wrapped in the flag of the great United States and that there are many people out there that did appreciate what I did...!!

Good Day..

I can understand why that might piss you and a lot of others, off. Believe me when I say that I'm not trying to insult anyones patriotism or honored Armed Forces service to America. I just have a problem when people USE that as some kind of "selling" point. Especially TSA posters selling snake oils like "shoe removal" and the like. That is why I have said it the times I have.
