That was the point I was (perhaps unsuccessfully) tried to get across. But since some items that contain alcohol also may exceed other duty free limits, I don't know if that compounds the calculation.

I will wrap with a tshirt, and also put each onto a sealed, large ziplock. If it breaks, only one shirt is ruined.... T shirt for padding and some absorption. Plus any broke glass is less likely to cut the bag...
