Soap allowed at security checkpoints?

I realize that they allowed to bring soap at security again. I thought they don't allowed to bring soap at security. Due to security reasons. When it did happen?

Soap bars have been allowed all along (link).

The recent change, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, affects hand sanitizer.

liquid soap, too, in appropriate-sized bottles has been allowed through the checkpoints.

The rule change pertained to hand sanitizers, not the liquid soaps. Liquid soaps are still (currently) subject to the 3.4oz regulations.

Sure enough. If they bring hand sanitizers at security. Only 4oz is enough. I saw hand sanitizer in my mom's car. I am sure TSA will allowed it. If they change the restrictions.

Yes. Currently, the rule has changed to one 12 oz container of Hand Sanitizer, until further notice. You can see they even updated the information at What Can I Bring page to reflect the change.

I've never had trouble with regular soap bars or travel soap containers.
