Wrong birth date on a ticket, does it matter?
My brother told me he guessed at my mom's birth date when he bought her ticket the other day. His guess was off. Is TSA going to let her through?

No big deal. Many people travel daily with the TSA given misleading birthdate info for the passengers, and it is most frequently not a problem.

"Correcting" the birthday is no more likely to help than doing nothing at all, and this is certainly the case when it comes to a domestic trip; rather "correcting" it will likely increase the odds of a "problem". I would suggest not doing anything and certainly not to worry about this any further. The OP's mother is almost certainly free to travel without incident unless her name or some kind of equivalency had come up as blacklisted.

Wrong birthdate on flight booking than ID
A friend booked a flight for me and on the booking information my birth year is two years ahead my actual birth year. I am 16 and the flight info says 18. It's a domestic flight and I have valid ID otherwise. My question is: When I get my boarding pass, will I be able to still board if they don't match and I explain it? I understand the rules between minors and 18+, that is why I wonder if they'll be able to go about as normal. Thank you!
