I'm considering getting a voltaic...will I have problems with the TSA?

I work in the power industry, and thought it would be a good conversation starter (not to mention a green choice) to get a voltaic and put it on my backpack. My biggest concern is whether or not I can get through TSA with it...I know their website says I can, but would be curious if anyone else has used this and if it works?!?!?

We see them occasionally. Might cause someone to take a closer look but that should be all.

I agree with SHOULD, but doubt that is the case. Sooner or later, a clerk will mistake this for something dangerous (or food).

You should be fine, just don't get any cupcake smell on it.

Thanks for the feedback! Now I'll just have to see if I can expense it! :-)

Can you white board the "cupcake smell" comment for me?

Sure.

1) TSA can't tell the difference between grape juice and explosives.

2) If you spill food on your charger, it may smell like food

3) TSA may then think the device IS food and confiscate it because it's yummy dangerous.

Cupcakes were used in my example because they are a famous example of something TSA confiscated solely because it was yummy.
