Completed Global Entry Enrollment Process but not Reflected on Website

I had my Global Entry interview a few weeks ago at IAD, and no 3 beeps yet. 0 for 4. I have a few questions for those familiar with the Global Entry aspects of this.

My concern is that CBP has messed up. I am getting emails saying I need to have my GE interview or my application will be cancelled, despite having the interview and being told I'm good to go. When I log into GOES, it says I was a no show for the interview and that it needs to be rescheduled.

My guess is one of two things is happening: First, the CBP processed my membership and GOES is showing things differently for whatever reason. I haven't had a chance to test out GE yet so I don't know for sure. Second, and more likely, the CBP messed the process up and I am not officially in GE yet.

Has anyone had this problem? Is there any clear best course of action? Contacting CBP seems hopeless.

I don't want to schedule another interview to avoid any possible "if you had an interivew why did you schedule another interview/you have to do the newly scheduled interview now" type outcomes despite emails of my application being cancelled. Also, I am moving overseas in about a month and availability for interviews seems to be nil in the US until the spring.

Should I just show up to the enrollment center at IAD? I should have known better when I walked out of there thinking, "wow, that was easy".

I don't know why you think contacting CBP is hopeless... it's exactly what you need to do. I would contact the same interview location you went to..they probably will have some record of you showing up there. The phone number is available through GOES and will be printed on your interview confirmation letter. It's very possible the agent just forgot to change you to approved status (there have been other reports of this that I've read on FT). Doing nothing and just waiting and hoping is guaranteed to get you zero results. You could also just show up at IAD if you like but a phone call would be my first step.

The agent should have approved you during your interview..your GE account is active instantly when an agent approves you, and the card is mailed out within 1 day from your interview location.

Also, after you're approved you will need to add your PASSID (available on GOES and will be printed on your GE card) to your reservations in order to get PreCheck..nothing will happen without your intervention.

It really IS that easy, and you should have been "active" the minute you left the interview based on what I was told. They approve it in the system, put the sticker on your passport, and that's it. In the GOES website I showed as active, not awaiting interview, immediately.

My interviewer gave me his card and email address and said to contact him directly if we had any issues. I would try contacting the IAD center and maybe even the person that interviewed you.

Thank you for the quick reply. Sounds like I fell through the cracks, in which case I totally agree that something needs to be done. Calls/messages to the IAD center are going unanswered. If I don't hear back soon, I see no option other than showing up without an appointment.

I'm going to split this discussion out of the United Forum PreCheck thread as it's more topical in the Pratical Travel Safety Issues Forum.

Not that it helps you, but I never received a call back from IAD when I left a message asking about bootstrapping my daughter's interview with my wife's. They both showed for one appointment with no problem, but I never heard back.
