ORD TSA
Flew back last night (ORD - DSM) from a short business trip. The Priority security line at United was only using the full body scanners. After opting out, a loud call was made "Male opt-out!!" After experiencing the complimentary pat down, I really felt as if they should have first taken me out for dinner and then maybe a cigarette after.

I flew out of Terminal 3 at ORD on New Year's Eve. There is no way to avoid the NOS, they are at all checkpoints. I was rather disappointed by my experience though. I showed up 3 hours early and had my opt-out speech all ready. It turns out it took me less then 10 minutes to get through security. There were just a couple other people ahead of me, and we all went through the metal detector, perhaps because an older women was standing on the footprint mat on the other side of the NOS, waiting to be assaulted. Just being in the presence of the this new abuse of power makes me not want to fly again, though.
