Thumbs up Clear Program Promotion

They just announced that you can save $25 off of the cost of a membership if you pay with your MasterCard.

I use this program every time I fly out of Orlando and it is a tremendous time saver. I used to have to get to the airport by 5:30am for my 7am Monday morning flights but I now get to sleep almost an extra hour because I am at my gate within 5 minutes of entering the airport.

From what I understand many other airports are coming on line in the first quarter of 2011. In my opinion it is well worth the cost.

As much as would like to join some sort of "trusted traveler" program, at this point I find CLEAR useless. Reasons:

1. I don't live near DEN or MCO, the only two airports offering the service.
2. If I can still be radiated or groped at MCO or DEN (or any new airports for that matter!), what's the point?

Totally agree. I don't want to jump to the front of the line. I want to SKIP the ****ing line. For that, I would pay quite a bit.

Give all my biometric info and personal info just to skip to the front of the line, AND pay for it? No thanks.

Elite line works well enough for me.

If you lived in Orlando like I do and had to travel for work every Sunday or Monday you would do just about anything to skip the line of families with children and Disney merchandise waiting to go through security. I agree that it will be a better program once they reopen in other airports. I am hoping that ORD gets online soon.

No, I wouldn't. Too high a cost, and I'm not talking about money.

They already lost a hard drive once.
