Security checkpoints are before the gates just like in the US. No worries, you will find them.

I think there is no need to take off your shoes. I was there twice in November and didn't have to take of my shoes. 100ml liquid limit is the same as in US. Not sure for knives and corkscrews. Better leave those at home.

All nonstop flights to the USA from ZRH leave from gates E16-37. Shoe carnival is in full effect at the checkpoint leading to those gates in my experience, departing from there every 3-4 weeks.

Was there yesterday (12/21) and no shoe removal. (I left from gate E26).

Thanks, Guys. I am already now in Switzerland. I came into ZRH on Wednesday early morning around 7:40am. The flight are very successful and I process go to passport control where I saw another passengers were followed me to the tram from terminal E to main terminal where I went up escalator to passport control and I stand with the passengers behind the yellow line. I wait for my turn to go to the passport control. It was absolutely no problems at all. I told her where I stay in Switzerland and I visit to see my brother for 1 week. Then she scan the passport and it is process to be clearance. She stamp the passport for me. I took care of it myself where I go there. I told her where I spent in Switzerland. It is much easier that I can read the signs. I went escalator up to the baggage claims wait for my bags coming off the cargo containers. I wait for all of 3 bags is arrived and there they are. I walk to the customs and I don't have any declared to entry into the country. Then I am exiting from Customs and went into the arrivals areas. There is my brother is wait for me. It was great opportunity to see him again. His car is wait outside at the terminal. Then we drove to BSL for 1 hour and it wasn't too bad for me at all.
