Beware MCI

I have always, with my husband and my account fluctuating, cancelled mci and then accepted the bonus for coming back to them. Well several months ago, as I normally do, I cancelled MCI and they called and offered a bonus to come back. I accepted and after 4 months of not getting the bonus miles posted to my AA account I called only to discover that I can no longer get bonus miles because we've gotten so many in the past. Now I can understand their policy, but then I should not have been offered the miles to begin with. I asked to at least have the miles that I should have already gotten for the last 4 months and I was denied. I will NOT use MCI again. They blame AA and AA blames MCI.So beware those bonus offers.

your not the only one. i suggest you do a long-range search on this board and get information for filing an on-line complaint with the FCC. not only is this the only way to punish them for their lies, but often you'll get your miles.

They have a reputation for reneging on such offers. Don't let them get away with it.

Upgrademe: thank you ever so much. I just sent an e mail to MCI telling them what I was doing and then I filled out the complaint form at the FCC website. Thank you to all who helped. I really appreciate it. Have a great day-Arlene

I haven't received my miles for 6 months and called MCI to inquire. They said I was on a "Black List" since I have changed phone companies so often. I probably have had 3 LD carriers in the past 3 years. And to boot, an MCI operator said she would switch LD companies too to get the best deals.

I might be wrong but is it stated in writing that the customer cannot switch telephone companies to get a better deal? What kind of company is this? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
